Maybe I will get back to my blog. Maybe I won’t.
Today this toddler threw a full fist of sand in my face/hair. (The hair bit is what really stings.) Neither the child nor the nanny apologized. I will ponder this event for weeks, probably. I thought about it at least a dozen times today. It’s an appropriate response to an unapologetic offense to my person.
I had a thought today, and FB is the wrong place to criticize your own FB friends. I made 2 poignant and humerus posts about the Jan. 6 hearing yesterday. I had one response. Are you paying attention?! This either means FB is censoring my posts (unlikely) or 1 in a thousand Americans care if we lose our democracy.
Egregious attacks deserve acknowledgment, empathy, and a strategic plan to prevent recurrence.
Watch the hearings. Be a good citizen. Be a good neighbor. It is the absolute least you can do.
Let’s respond to a President’s attempt to overthrow the government with more passion than getting doused with sand.
